Introduction to Sapate exercise
Sapate (also called sapate) is a old Indian exercise followed by our wrestler to gain strength and stamina. Sapate exercise is very powerful full body workout at home you can do to improve your physique. Our ancient Indian wrestler follow only few exercises and they build a very great physique, sapate is one of them. Since it is full body workout, it trains nearly all body parts if done correctly.
How to perform sapate- form and Technique
To perform sapate , you first need perfect pushup then you have to perform “dand” in which you have to take your body back and raise your hip high, stretch your upper body back with your hip raising. As suggested below in the image.
Then bring your body down close to ground surface as done in `the pushups.
And now stretch your upper body in the upward direction with your neck completely facing up like below-
